Emmy Honors For Locally Produced 'Profiles In Caring'

Profiles In Caring, the Salt Lake produced television series focusing on non-profit humanitarian efforts in Utah and around the world has been nominated for two prestigious Emmy Awards.
The series, hosted by Kimberly Perkins-Klintworth and Randall Carlisle, and featuring the work of Executive Producers/Reporters Lynn Peterson, Shauna Scott and Doug Jardine, was nominated in two categories for programs shot and produced in remote locations in both Africa and Asia.
The first nomination for Best Feature Segment In Public/Community/Affairs Program features the work of the Utah service organization In Our Own Quiet Way.
The group’s outreach program ‘Give A Dam’ helps tens of thousands of Kenyans in their quest clean drinking water.

The second nomination was for Best Program Special. The episode Return to PonHeary Ly focuses on the works of a Cambodian relief society dedicated to providing and education to children in the country’s poorest provinces.

In the course of the last seven years ‘Profiles’ has been honored with four Emmy Awards and eleven Emmy Nominations.
