A 31-year-old man died early Wednesday morning when his car slammed into the back of a parked semi-trailer near 5600 West and 4810 South in Kearns.

According to the Unified Police Department, a white Honda Accord was traveling northbound when it suddenly swerved striking the semi around 2:45 am.

Police say the driver, whose identity has yet to be released, was the only person in the vehicle. He was pronounced dead at the scene. They say fatigue may have played a role in the crash.
